Co-founder, Research & Aerodynamic Modelling
Finn Matras holds a PhD from NTNU — the Norwegian University of Science and Technology — and is a specialist in aerodynamic modelling for UAV systems. His research focuses on dynamic inflow modelling for multirotor systems: the physics of how propellers interact with their own and each other's downwash, and what that means for efficiency and design.
His work is one of the few formalised treatments of propeller-to-propeller inflow interference available in the scientific literature. It is the foundation on which FF Twin's modelling approach is built.

Flemming Bækdal brings product strategy and business development experience to FF Twin. His focus is on translating Finn's research into a platform that drone companies can use from day one — and on building the commercial foundation that makes FF Twin sustainable and scalable.

FF Twin is the bridge between the research and the industry. Not a consulting engagement that ends when the project does — a platform that stays with the vehicle through its entire life.
We work with drone companies at different stages of development — from early design decisions on a first prototype, to optimisation before version 2, to fleet-scale monitoring.
